I am a graduate in Mechanical Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University with an OPT start date of 3rd July, 2017. I specialize in developing computational tools for Automated Mesh Generation.I am actively seeking a full-time opportunity that involves development of computational tools to solve mechanical problemsCurrently, I am solely responsible for developing a tool that converts medical (NIfTi Images) directly into a mesh that is suitable for FEM analysis. This project involved:-- Handling binary files to extract information from medical images -- Implementation of Multi-Material Marching Tet algorithm for creating a segmented surface file -- Constrained Laplacian smoothing to minimize peaks and sharp edges generated due to tesselation-- Using Bubble mesh to generate a computational mesh-- Using Angle based simplification as an approach to generate surface segmentation.-- Segmenting regions of the brain and writing an NASTRAN (.nas) file with a compatibility of storing segmentation information.My graduate courses Numerical methods, Engineering Computation, Advanced Engineering Computation, Computer Aided Design, Finite Element Methods and Computer Graphics have developed an in-depth understanding for developing these geometric models and visualization tools I worked at Dassault Systemes Simulia Corp as an intern for developing Unit tests using Jasmine as the testing framework and Karma as the runner. The coverage was increased from 34% to 64% within a period of 2 months.I have also worked as a Graduate Engineering Trainee at Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd. for a period of one year. I worked under Seating COE developing a database to benchmark competitive products and creating a visualization tool for seat motion.
