My current role centres on steering the delivery of projects within scope, budget and prescribed deadlines, which I do by collaborating with engineers, supervisors and others to determine projectspecifications, together with planning construction operations and phases, and the acquisition of equipment and material. Accountability also lies with me to line-manage and guide the activity of labourers, mechanics and others, as well as evaluating and reporting on project progress. It perhaps goes without saying that a crucial component of my remit is to ensure compliance with health and safety requirements and policies on site.

Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates

In this capacity, I managed projects to ensure delivery within the agreed time, cost, and specifications. As part of this, I ensured the timely award of subcontracts by issuing local purchase order requests, and verifying the technical aspect of vendors’ quotes. More broadly, I optimised the acquisition and allocation of project resources by generating requests for project materials for submission to procurement and transportation colleagues, and preparing daily labour schedules.

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

A key focus in this role was to gain client approval for any additions or variations to jobs on site, as well as managing comprehensive documentation throughout all aspects of the project. I served as the liaison between client, subcontractors, site, and suppliers, including verifying subcontractors’ invoices, and made recommendations in areas of slippage, based on monitoring the construction programmes’ progress. Related to this, I advised on the acceptance or rejection of snagging list issues, and ensured the smooth handover of completed projects, including managing no objection certificates for existing underground company assets.

Abu Dhabi

This role centred on defining the high-level project scope with clients, together with reviewing Issued for Construction (IFC) drawings, and managing any change requests. My remit also involved preparing and gaining approval for a range of project documents.

Vijayawada Area, India

In this capacity, I designed structures in Staad-Pro, and plans using AutoCAD, and secured client approval. Separately, I assured the quality of work on site by monitoring site conditions.
