• Scope: As part of the operations improvement team responsible for ​​​​supporting the production manager and ensure processing meets key ​​​​performance indicators, bottlenecks are identified and improvement.
• Initiated, scoped and implemented a project and associated team members to filter a leach residue containing significant nickel and cobalt in unused filters on the opposite side of the refinery
• Implemented process control measures and procedures to reduce cobalt losses by $250,000 p.a. achieved by predicting area bottleneck and controlling the feed composition to maximise throughput through the bottlenecks
• Contributed to the creation of the Major Hazard Facility safety case
• Implemented a system for the addition of an ash modifier that lead to a significant reduction in the accretion of ash in the coal fired dryers, reducing downtime and improving operational safety​​​Duties:
