In this role I have produced work for the healthcare industry and for a number of pharmaceutical companies working across a wide variety of disciplines including brochures, leaflets, posters, branding guidelines, folders, training manuals, and interactive PowerPoint and EPUB presentations.My responsibilities and skills used in this role include good time management and organisational skills in order to work to strict deadlines and to achieve project success from initial design stages all the way through to print, including creating print specifications and obtaining print quotes from external suppliers.I have also had to be competent in understanding and implementing corporate branding guidelines across all literature produced. This has meant I have had to strive for continuous consistency across all work created.I have continued to improve my design capabilities using all relevant software such as InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator. This includes the interactive elements within InDesign to produce engaging EPUB presentations for use on the iPad and online.I have also spent the last 3 years managing the workflow in the studio and allocating work to the other designers.

My job role as a designer included:• Customer related responsibilities such as phoning clients for their advert copy• Administrative responsibilities such as posting, emailing or faxing proofs to the clients for their approval and the organising of any advertising documentation• The use of production schedules to position approved adverts in the correct place on the appropriate pages• Liasing with the senior designer to obtain copy for magazine features• Utilising relevant design software, such as InDesign, to produce interesting and creative layouts using the appropriate templates and styles• Communication with magazine editors to receive approval on designed pages• Creating print ready PDF files of approved pagesDuring my time at Warners I learnt how to work independently and in a team environment taking positive and constructive outcomes from any criticism. The job also taught me to be flexible dueto company deadlines.
