I write book reviews and articles for library publications including "VOYA" (Voices of Youth Advocates) and "Alki" (the publication of the Washington Library Association). My book reviews are also published by community new agencies such as the "Shoreline Area News" and the "Richmond Beach Community News." Sharing fairy tales, love stories, women's stories, and most especially ghost stories! Storytelling can take place in a classroom, a library, a coffee shop, a festival tent, a tavern. I tell stories in cars, on horseback, and on the radio. Do you need more stories? Listen up!

I primarily worked in two small branches of KCLS. The Youth Services Librarian position focuses on programming, service and outreach to teens and tweens in the service area. I led two "Pizza and Books"​ discussion groups for teens each month, coordinated two teen writing groups, and facilitated meetings for a middle school anime club. I managed collections, partnered with schools and other outside agencies to provide service in the community, answered reference and reader's advisory queries via phone, email and face-to-face conversations, drove the Library2Go van (bookmobile) to provide outreach services to local daycares and adult care facilities, and performed circulation duties in the branch as needed. I also presented ongoing storytimes for families with young children, including an outdoor "Stories Under the Tree"​ storytime each week during the summer, hosted numerous author events, and learned to play Quidditch with a team of adolescent athletes.

Sharing recorded and live stories on local community radio. As a weekend show host, I also acted as board operator, show producer and director, station receptionist, and building custodian. I participated in on-air membership drives each year, raising money for KSER.

My duties at Sno-Isle were mainly circulation support, but I also took charge of troubleshooting and repairing anything in the branch with a power cord. These items included (but weren't limited to): computer hardware, printers, photocopiers, the fax machine, the answering machine, and the staff coffee maker.

I was hired at the Bellingham Children's Library as a page while still a high school student. During my years at BPL, I also worked as an assistant to the Children's Librarian, and as the clerk in charge of daily operations at the small Fairhaven Branch. I frequently created and presented programs for children and teens, including storytelling, storytimes, crafts, and other activities.
