Helping a lady simply gain mobility to get up and down off the floor to play with her grandchildren. Helping a gentleman achieve balance and strength after a stroke. Helping a young girl build upper body endurance for tumbling and make the cheerleading team. Such rewarding work.

I worked with SCPRT in a transitional capacity, fulfilling their 2012 marketing goals in a post-bounce agency era. My focus was in cooperative programs, particularly working with partners to finalize the annual Vacation Guide and Welcome Center buys, as well as in supervising the creative processes for anything from a full-page Golf ad to a major publication like the South Carolina Parks Guide.

My main responsibilities included revising the co-op media plan, overseeing production of digital ads and landing pages, cultivating relationships with vendors and partners and overseeing entire reporting process - outlining media and overall program success.

The bounce agency was one of my favorite career experiences. I managed accounts for clients such as Laura Ashley, Berchtold Corporation and Hilton Head Island Visitor & Convention Bureau, supervising an array of design, interactive and media projects from brainstorming to billing.

I oversaw marketing projects for three locations in this Hooters franchise, driving sales by building business-to-business and community partnerships, planning and executing events and taking advantage of local promotional opportunities.

I served as the primary liaison between client and agency for this small full-service firm, supervising all marketing, design and interactive projects while also providing creative direction, timelines and written copy for the team.

YYB is a family-owned fitness center located in Gaffney, SC. Here, I implemented promotional campaigns to cultivate and acquire business and represented the company at local health and business expos.

I enlisted in a summer internship with EP after college graduation and learned a great deal about actual work-world skills that aren't taught in the classroom. I contributed to client campaigns like Firehouse Subs, Michelin and the Greenville Humane Society by writing press releases and media advisories and building relationships with key media targets.

This is not a company but a public relations competition with participants from more than 60 schools in the nation. Our "mock company," represented the University of South Carolina, and my responsibilities included managing a team of four in the planning, promoting and executing of a comprehensive PR campaign for the Safe Kids Buckle Up program.

I worked with a small staff of production specialists at Richland One Television, or ROTV, an educational outlet of Richland County School District One. I wrote news releases and production scripts, aided in field shoots and interviews, and hosted "Extra Credit" (a teen talk show) and "Living Smart" (a health and wellness show).
