PI: Dr. Laurie Kilpatrick Techniques:- Cell Isolation- Cell Culture _ Western Blot Goals: The aims of this project are to characterize the different neutrophil phenotypes which are seen within septic patients. use proteomics to understand how the neutrophil phenotype alters pathways significant to neutrophil-endothelial interactions, and identify if select anti-inflammatory therapeutics prove protective for the different sepsis phenotypes.

Provide tutoring to undergraduate students in various STEM courses, particularly biology, chemistry, and math subjectsMeet with each student one-on-one to help them understand the content of the course by reviewing different concepts and practicing how to solve problemsResponsible for setting a goal/focus for each session and utilizing different teaching techniques to ensure the material is taught in a way that caters to each student's learning style

Guide freshman & transfer honors students with their transition to college lifeAttend Honors Program summer orientations to provide knowledge about Honors Program from a student's perspective and guide students through their first course registration Serve as a resource for and questions/concerns pertaining to academics, college life, personal enrichment, etc.
