I manage accounting staff and oversee all aspects of AR, AP, General Cashiering and Payroll. I complete all month end journal entries, monthly balance sheet reconciliations and proof of cash. I review and enter our daily income journal. I facilitated converting the BSR and IJ processes from hard copies to a fully digital process. I procured digital signature and credit card authorization software that the entire property now uses for execution of contracts. I am the primary contact for our annual internal control audits with external auditors and maintain the controls required of a REIT owned property. I generate and analyze month end reporting and transmit to our owners and management company on a timely basis. I review all bank activity on a daily basis, record the activity weekly and reconcile the accounts monthly.

In this roll, I not only oversaw all AR activities but also processed payroll for 200+ employees on a bi-weekly basis. I decreased billing time while working with other departments in the property to increase billing efficiencies.

I invoiced group and OTA clients. I brought down AR aging from $1.5+ million dollars with a significant portion at 60+ days past due to all within current terms to 30 days past due within a few months of taking the position.

Supervise fitness center and spa reception staff as well as a full staff of massage therapists and estheticians. Manage staff, process timecards, resolve any conflicts that may arise and help facilitate a peaceful, relaxing spa environment for our guests.

As spa coordinator I answer phones, greet guests, organize scheduling, upsell retail items and assist therapists and estheticians with setup for their clients.

Assist in the daily living activities for elderly clients to allow them to stay in their homes as apposed to moving into assisted living facilities.

I started as a busser and worked my way up to supervisor. I supervised up to 25 employees at a time at events ranging from small, formal banquets for 20 guests to barbecues for 700+ guests. I was promoted to manager in November of 2011. As manager I scheduled supervisors as well as wait staff, processed time cards, worked with other departments in the company to facilitate events in the dining room as well as around campus.
