Blending the gap between Healthcare IT and Operations, I served in many operations leadership and IT roles, including Director of Revenue Cycle, IT Project Manager, and specialist in denial prevention and charging improvement.

Responsible for Physician Insurance AR. Focused on: 1) Reducing Denial Volume, 2) Reducing Aged AR by preventing AR from aging, and 3) Improving interdepartmental communication between the CBO, Clinical Departments, and IT.

- Led team of 13 Epic staff through implementation of revenue cycle applications- Piloted Epic’s new consulting program ‘Good Better Best,’ resulting in a Physician Billing AR Day reduction of 29% throughout a 5 month engagement- Implemented new physician patient account system and workflow process to increase cash collections to 105% of budget at large academic medical center in first year after Epic Go-Live- Reduced errored claims by 50% during 3 month engagement at academic medical center - Led multiple teams of 5-10 analysts through implementation timelines spanning 9-18 months- Developed usability and productivity standards and designed measuring tools- Managed up to four simultaneous implementations while holding internal leadership roles- Partnered with customer operations executives to design business office best practice, manage change, and bring business office operations in house from athenahealth

I worked with a small student group to manage the internet marketing campaign (Google AdWords, Bing Marketing, and Facebook Advertising)to promote visibility to Luther College. We analyzed hits to the internal websites, gauged effective clicks, and created plans to adjust over time. I then took the skills I learned in this group to some local business, built their AdWords marketing campaigns and then taught their staff how to do what I do. Little did I know that this was the perfect preparation for Epic Implementation.
