I handled all aspects of business operations including HR, budgeting, sales and marketing, quality assurance, community outreach and regulation compliance. I learned a lot in a short time in this role. The biggest thing I learned was that I do not have a passion for long term healthcare. After 5 months at the company I made the decision to step down and gave over a month of notice. It was time to take a step back, reprioritize and evaluate what I wanted to do next.

I managed budgets for individual events in excess of 1 million dollars as well as multi-million dollar annual service programs. I created and managed timelines, client expectations, budgets and internal teams to deliver projects on time, on scope and on budget with the highest level of quality and customer service. In my first full year I was voted employee of the year by my peers and by the end of my second year, was asked to participate in the leadership development program to plan out and foster my career path into upper management within the organization. After nearly 3 years with the company and over 9 years in the industry I felt an inner pull to take on a completely new challenge and accepted an executive level position in healthcare administration. Derse was and is a great company that employs the most talented group of people I have ever had the pleasure of working with. -
