Peel/Halton

Overseeing day to day operations for Peel and Halton.

Day-day operations including managing six route managers, overseeing two sites, all lines of business which included a transfer station. Over the last year safety numbers were improved, driver-driver teams were increased, and the relationship with the Region of Waterloo was strengthened significantly. A strong district with an in house union and over 170 drivers, as well as costs per hour management. There were also monthly P&L reviews with the District Manager and the area team from which I initiated a monthly meeting with my direct reports to discuss and clarify numbers, while discussing areas of improvement.

Barrie

Manages the day-to-day operations of the District, and provides daily support to managers in ensuring quality and budget performance.· Monitors budget and operating metrics while diagnosing and improving processes, procedures, and performance.· Executes necessary precautions to ensure safety and compliance with Company, OSHA, and other standards and regulations.· Ensures thorough root cause investigations for all injuries and incidents, following-up with consistent discipline and retraining.Oversees personnel needs of the department including selecting, coaching, disciplining, and training employees and evaluating employee performance. Provides input into termination, compensation, and promotion decisions

Barrie
