Directly supervised 120 personnel Infantry Company prepared to deploy to Camp Lemonier, Djibouti, Africa. Responsible for property valued over $5 million as well as the morale, leadership, administration, personnel management, discipline, and logistics of the company. Developed short and long range training plans for the company.• Led the company from 20% deployable assets to over 90% deployable assets in six months.• Company recognized as having top two platoons in the Battalion during the Platoon Live Fire Exercise.• Only company in Battalion to receive the Unit Level Supply Excellence Award from the State.• Maintained 99% personnel readiness and increased administrative proficiency by 20%.

Camp Atterbury, Indiana

Directly supervised 10 personnel charged with executing and validating training programs for Guard/Reserve units deploying to Afghanistan, Egypt, Horn of Africa, Kosovo and Kuwait. Responsible for supervising, documenting, and reporting a deployable unit’s training progress. • Synchronized responsibilities of 10 organizations on Camp Atterbury to ensure a seamless training experience for the deploying unit.• Developed and maintained system that successfully trained over 40 units and 3,000 soldiers over one year.

Tasked with providing both data and voice connectivity for over 800 soldiers operating across long distances in austere environments. Responsible for over $5,000,000 in equipment and vehicles. Leading a team of over 20 soldiers whose specialties range from FM communications to automated services. Currently, managing the Battalion’s first attempt to fully integrate all staff automated platforms through the Army Battle Command System (ABCS) in a LAN and connecting to the tactical WAN using WIN-T network architecture. This package includes employing satellite and line-of-sight (LOS) data transmission systems to provide connectivity from anywhere in the world within a few hours. Most recent success in this project is highlighted finding a workaround to software glitch that had previously prevented satellite connectivity.

Tasked with having five months to prepare a Rifle Platoon for a Platoon Live-Fire Exercise in August 2010. Platoon had recently transitioned from a Convoy Security Mission in Iraq and most of the soldiers were inexperienced in Infantry Tactics, making it necessary design training to gradually increase from individual skills to a fully integrated platoon exercise. Additionally, served as OIC for three live-fire ranges and a maneuver/live-fire range between April and September 2010. Trained over 130 soldiers.

Camp Atterbury, In

Led a team of two Senior NCOs who coordinated all logistical requirements for the Battalion, managed property and equipment valued over $10,000,000. This included weapons, vehicles, communications equipment, tactical devices, uniforms, computers, and other unique items that training missions demanded. Also, supervised a team of three NCOs that managed COL Warrior, a training area that replicated a Forward Operating Base overseas. Supervised and coordinated upgrades to COL Warrior to improve its training value to include new dining facilities, classrooms, power upgrades, and sleeping arrangements.Worked with Battalion Motor Officer to downsize and reorganize the Battalion General Services Administration (GSA) vehicle fleet, saving $20K in vehicle maintenance and fuel costs. The reorganization actually increased the training teams’ access to GSA vehicles, subsequently increasing efficiency and allowed for a Battalion pool of spare GSA vehicles. Spearheaded a transition of the water source for Contingency Operations Location (COL) Warrior Training Area from refillable water tanks to a fresh water main line, saving Camp Atterbury $130K annually in service fees. Also, supervised the installation of a 5,000 amp increase to COL Warrior which made it possible for mobilizing units to run all of their Command Posts safely and subsequently improve their training efficiency.

Spent June 2007 through February 2008 preparing platoon for deployment to Iraq. During that time, Officer-In-Charge of at least eight ranges to include live fire and land navigation ranges. Also, ran three gunnery and live fire ranges in Iraq, two IED-Defeat courses, training over 300 soldiers. Based out of Balad, Iraq, managed a 45 person platoon during Operation Iraqi Freedom and was responsible for equipment valued over $10M. Platoon conducted over 100 combat logistics patrols in high-threat areas of Central Iraq. Platoon suffered zero loss of equipment or loss of life. As Platoon Leader, led or participated in over 40 combat missions utilizing Military Intelligence, new weapons systems, and the latest technology to ultimately mitigate risk to the unit.
