Overseeing a staff of three, I am the main Accounting and Finance person in the business. Duties include budgets, reporting, payroll and financial analysis. I have also been the main financial contact for a merger in 2017 and the acquisition by AGI in March of 2019.

I was responsible for the accounting functions of Client One, a wholly owned subsidiary of Creative One. Client One is a FINRA registered Broker Dealer, catering to registered reps who are also in the annuity and life insurance market. I have been the main contact person for the annual FINRA audits. In the 6 years of business, there have been no issues with our accounting procedures or accuracy. Duties include payables, receivables, managing payroll, net capital calculations, financial report preparation and review and paying rep commissions.

Reporting to the Controller and managing one other person in a company of about 150 employees, I oversee all aspects of the accounting department. I am responsible for payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, annuity and life insurance premium tracking, budgeting, commissions payable, financial reporting and all other general bookkeeping functions. Quickbooks is used for the accounting functions and a database that was built in-house is used for the premium tracking. The company will do approximately $1.6 billion of annuity premium this year through 12-15 main carriers.

I was responsible for auditing airline tickets to make sure that correct domestic and international tariffs were charged and paid correctly.
