I am a highly experienced and skilled wine industry executive. A wine graduate of Roseworthy Agricultural College (University of Adelaide), I have a comprehensive understanding of wine production, retail, marketing and sales and have worked for some of Australia’s most well-known and regarded wine brands. I also have extensive experience in the importing and distribution of international wines and in turn a deep understanding of the diversity and depth of the international world of wine. I spent time as the Regional Director for the peak industry body Wine Australia, developing and implementing marketing strategy and championing the cause of Australian wine in the domestic and international marketplace.My career has included stints as a tasting judge on the Australian Wine Export panel and judge in a number of Australian wine shows and I am also a regular contributor to www.therealreview.com, one of Australia’s preeminent wine review publications.I am a graduate and panel judge of the Australian Wine Research Institute’s Advanced Wine Assessment Course and was a participant in the 2002 Len Evans Tutorial Scholarship, designed to further develop the industry’s most gifted wine palates.In 2006 influential UK wine writer Matthew Jukes named me as one of the top 50 Young Leaders of the Australian Wine Industry and in 2010, I took part in the Winemakers’ Federation of Australia Future Leaders program.I was also an accredited Wine and Spirit Education Trust educator at the Advanced level and is a certified sommelier through the Court of Master Sommeliers.
