As a recent graduate from Stellenbosch University, I acquired diverse experience across various tech stacks and gained exposure to real-world development tools.Tech Stacks:• Proficient in Java, which served as the primary language for many of my projects.• Extensive experience with Python, encompassing scripting and the development of large-scale applications such as web servers and standalone applications, along with implementing complex algorithm designs.• I have experience in C writing various low-level implementations. I also have experience with running concurrent processes in C.• I have some experience in C# having written a REST API with a database integration with it for a university project. Further, I have used C# for personal projects, including a Covid-19 Telegram chat bot created during the 2020 lockdown.• I have experience in utilising SQL to write queries, creating and managing databases, and optimizing query performance. Specifically, I have experience in MySQL and PostGreSQL.• Throughout my university journey, I developed a comprehensive understanding of Git as a version control system. I actively utilised Gitlab for remote project management, adhering to principles such as gitflow, especially in collaborative group projects, and applied best practices wherever possible.• I possess hands-on experience with various testing frameworks, including unit testing frameworks and mocking frameworks. Additionally, I have successfully implemented continuous integration systems for both personal and group projects. My development approach consistently emphasizes test-driven development practices to ensure code reliability and maintainability.
