Key tasks include, but are not limited to: • General green keeping duties• Safe and efficient operation of all mowing equipment• Setting up course for day’s play• Bunker maintenance• Pest identification and control• Irrigation system maintenance and management• Identification and reporting of areas for improvement, or problems that may be compromising the maintenance of the course in accordance with the Turf Management Plan, Environmental Policy, and Occupational Health and Safety Policy.• Maintain, monitor and implement the club’s Environmental Management System. • Actively engage all staff and visitors in being environmentally conscious. • Set environmental goals and objectives to ensure the clubs legislative compliance• Investigate alternative methods of works to become environmentally and economically sustainable, etc.Just some of the requirements of my role have been to:• Develop a summary of current Environmental Initiatives and business plan to showcase how the organisation will be moving forward in it's operations. • Develop Standard Operating Procedures in regards to the clubs Environmental controls and train staff accordingly. • Be a key contributor to the training and mentoring of apprentices. • Supervise contracted works on a number of spillways through the golf course. • Support the direction of club management to achieve a well presented playing surface to members and guests.

Maintained and monitored all facets of landscaped areas. Efficiently direct staff to ensure all landscape areas are kept in an agreed or better condition. Conducted weekly assessments of all work sites and advised client/upper management of conditions and improvements that can be made. Maintain and repair all maintenance equipment. Ensure safe work practices are carried out to minimise risk of personal and environmental harm.
