Worked with a team of UC Aerocats students to design, build, and compete with a model aircraft with a payload to empty weight ratio of 4.0. Responsible for gas powered engine selection and optimization as well as servo selection, installation, and control. The aircraft lifted a record 40 lbs at the SAE Aircraft Design Competition in Dallas, Texas. During the competition, I worked as part of the presentation team and the flight operations team.

Responsible for assisting 1st and 2nd year students during their MATLAB project laboratories. As a TA, I was assigned 30-40 students a semester throughout three classes. I provided live support during the class time, Q/A support out of class time, and grading after project/homework submission. During the class, we taught basic programming (loops, functions, and GUI creation), and introductory analysis techniques (plotting, data analysis, and symbolic toolbox utility).

Developed cascade rig testing to perform an airflow mixing analysis of cooled and uncooled turbine blades. Responsible for renovating, instrumenting, and running a cascade airflow system. Developed a MATLAB class based toolbox code to accelerate data analysis. Spec'ed and installed a LabView- controlled two-dimensional traverse system to control a dynamic pressure probe in the airstream.
