Developing new skills in safety systems and stakeholder management in civil construction

I started this company to provide Industrial relations consultancy to the building and civil industry. Currently I perform such work as formulating and lodging Enterprise Bargaining Agreements (EBAs) as well as advice on the Building code and bargaining processes. Award and EBA interpretation. Safety auditing, meetings and consultation. Training on Right of Entry and other industrial and safety requirements. Dispute resolution on employee related matters and contracts.

NGP specialises in a polymer stabilisation and dust suppression product. I am responsible for sales and training throughout councils, mining and the civil industry. In this role I am responsible for the direct consultation on the benefits of the product, consulting and training workers on how to apply and mix the product.The councils I work with include Adelaide Plains, Northern Areas, Port Adelaide Enfield and Wakefield councilsMining companies include Heathgate Resources at Beverly Mine, Oz Minerals at Prominent Hill. We have also done work in transport yards and for Vitara Grain storage facilities

I led the South Australian Branch of the CFMEU, which included working with a variety of stakeholders to ensure workers’ rights were adhered. This included workplace safety as a critical component of workers daily tasks and consulting with businesses, management, workers and other stakeholders to ensure the law was followed.Additionally, I represented CFMEU on various boards and committees, including the Construction Industry Training Board and Construction Industry Training Centre.I also managed the union finances of the state branch, a team of 13 people with various roles, attended strategic level meetings with industry and government and ensured the strategic planning for the branch.
