I’m a Senior Software Test Engineer at Dell EMC. I have been involved in many test cycles, each with its own set of challenges and rewards. I enjoy the entire test process but identifying software requirements and creating test cases is my favorite task. I find that proper test case creation to be crucial in having a successful test cycle. My initial experience in software and testing was focused primarily on carrying out manual regression testing. As I have gained more knowledge of software and testing practices I accepted new positions. This allowed me to take on my responsibility and add more value to the company. In my current position I am responsible for requirement testing of large multi-petabyte scale systems. Similar to previous positions I still create test cases based off requirement documentation, execute tests, create issue tickets when bugs or design flaws are found and record results. Test setup as well as the tests themselves are automated when possible to improve efficiency and accuracy.
