I am a career diplomat from Singapore who has worked on Southeast Asia and China.In my current role, I monitor and analyse developments in Indonesia related to domestic politics, energy transition, fiscal and investment policy, inter-religious relations, and Islamic civil society. I also perform outreach activities, and drive technical cooperation and exchanges between Singapore and Indonesia at the government-to-government and people-to-people levels.My experience has taught me to operate globally. Most of my roles have involved making sense of global developments, working with counterparts from different countries, and adapting to new environments. They have also given me an appreciation of how governments work - in both my own country as well as others. I believe in an inter-connected world, sensible policymaking based on an understanding of the external environment, being open to new ideas, and learning from the best.
