• Strategy, Vision and Purpose: Co-Creates Starbuck’s 10-Year Global Supply Chain Strategy, Purpose and Vision. Establishes clear manufacturing, planning and logistics strategies which enable the ability to proactively react to market forces and leverage agile and flexible supply chain channels. • Leadership and Portfolio Management: Leads global supply chain governance forums to drive executive leadership decisions on network investments. Collaborates across supply chain operations to bring consensus on key initiatives aligned with global strategy. Develops foundational roadmaps to understand dependencies between programs which enable investment prioritization. Regularly briefs the Starbucks Enterprise on data science programs, status, resourcing, and recommendations to implement an adaptive, resilient supply chain.• Analytics and Data Science: Center point of contact across all Starbucks global supply chain for analytics and data science modeling. Leads a cross functional team of directors who support worldwide global network optimization programs, including, manufacturing, distribution, international transportation, sourcing, and external suppliers.• Innovation: Re-imagines network design methodologies which enable an end-to-end process tailored to meet our future store formats and support the launch of new SKUs and product innovations (NPI). Initiates analytics transforming how we support our partners and customers so we can adapt to the future needs of the business and mitigate risk within our manufacturing and supply channels. • Supply Chain Automation: Leads innovation within network design to increase our throughput capacity by leveraging automation and micro-fulfillment. Currently leading the deployment of a large-scale automation system in Carson, Nevada and implementing new fulfillment and delivery methods to our urban markets.

• Business Development: Led regional sourcing and commercial efforts through successfully negotiating inland transportation and shipping line contracts. • Strategy: Established and defined strategy and vison through influencing internal and external stakeholders. Created new ways of working and directly communicated results of financial growth and performance to the Board of Directors. • Operations: Provided functional expertise to industry-leading 3PL and Freight Forwarders for complex global cargo movements.

• Business Management: Full P & L responsibility of over a $700M marine terminal annual budget. Established a management structure globally recognized for productivity, financial performance, and environmental stewardship.• Labor Union Negotiations: Successfully negotiated collective bargaining agreements with west coast labor unions (International Longshore and Warehouse Union “ILWU” and International Association of Machinists Union “IAM”).• Global Leadership: Led a global team of 12 regional managers from Asia, Europe and Africa with diverse cultures and backgrounds to strategically redevelop North African marine terminals. Established company safety standards, best practices, and training programs for developing terminals within Maersk Global Terminal Network.

Responsible for terminal Vessel, Yard, Gate and Rail Operations; managed 12 assistant managers; exceeded safety and productivity targets each quarter; developed terminal process manuals; championed Lean Six Sigma teams; supervised on-site customs operations; and worked closely with local distribution centers to improve logistics planning methods.

Developed expertise in vessel, yard and rail management systems; gained in depth knowledge of multiple levels of the logistics chain; effectively managed the ILWU labor force by gaining a strong understanding of collective bargaining agreements; forecast and analyzed volume trends; and met and maintained customer service requirements.
