As a Research Scientist II at Curia, I contribute to the development and optimization of CHO cell lines and processes for the production of recombinant proteins and monoclonal antibodies. I perform stable pool generation via electroporation, transient transfection, single cell cloning, small scale flask productions, and scale-up experiments (60L WAVE). I’ve designed and executed process development studies using the Amber15 system as well as media and feed studies and scale up process confirmation in 2L SUBs. I’ve also been extensively involved in GMP productions. I write and review technical reports and protocols, tech transfers, and present data and results to internal and external stakeholders.I have a strong background in biotechnology, with a BS in Biology from UC Santa Barbara. I am passionate about new scientific discovery and being part of a team that advances the understanding and application of biotechnology. I enjoy learning new skills and techniques, and collaborating with other experts in the field. Outside of work, I explore the outdoors and practice woodworking.
