As a research assistant for the ‘As-Built': Documenting Value and Use at the Grange Pavilion’ – a community research project conducted by Cardiff University - I was responsible for leading Post Occupancy Evaluation of the establishment through consultations with the broader community and individual interviews. Additional work included research on expansion opportunities, literature review and project documentation analysis, and cooperation with the scheme leads including architects, researchers, and investors. Following information gathering and subsequent investigation, I compiled a detailed report outlining the results of conducted interviews and surveys, analysing the current performance of the pavilion against the outlined goals set out in the initial business case, and recommending the next steps for both the pavilion development as well as the Community Gateway team.

In 2015 I took part in a work placement to get an insight into the world of architecture and civil engineering, which led to me spending the next threesummers working at Hi-Spec Engineering.My responsibilities included designing the new office space using AUTOCAD, which I became proficient at in the upcoming years, and assisting on active jobs using the 3D modelling software ‘Solid Works’, as well as doublechecking mechanical formulas for ongoing projects. I also attended site visits with the head of Hi-Spec Engineering at the Bank Station as part of the restoration and development team. Additionally, I assisted the team with the 3d modelling of the project for explanation purposes in meetings.
