Based on my experiences as a landlord, tenant and property manager it seemed no one was winning:- Property Managers each maintain hundreds of properties, with little time to spend on each and make tiny margins- Tenants pay high rents but feel they are ignored as queries are lost into the ether- Landlords and Property Investors feel they pay large management fees for poor service and communicationThis wasn't true in every instance, but it was for 90% of the cases we came across.So we created Doorstep to improve the rental market using technology.To provide outstanding service, with technology at the core, supported by property managers.To avoid human mistakes which lead to the industry's bad reputation, but keep the people who build the relationships which the industry thrives on.

I grew the data science capability of PA's Technology Group as their Lead Big Data Architect. I guided my development teams and those of others to build new systems - specialising in real-time data analytics and image processing systems. This work grew to become a large portion of our group’s revenue.I also grew their new Digital Agriculture business from scratch - leading teams to find the best market fit within PA’s existing skills by constantly iterating and testing the market.My work spanned the pharmaceutical, defense and agriculture sectors.Day-to-day, I oversaw the architecture and software development of big data and fast data processing pipelines for PA's clients.
