I was lucky enough to work as a swim coach for the summer swim team that I grew up with. I taught stroke and turn technique to over 150 swimmers ages 4-16, designed a Coach-In-Training (CIT) program and mentored CITs, and planned and facilitated team social functions. My priorities as a coach were to help swimmers achieve their individual athletic goals and to foster young leadership that would sustain team spirit and camaraderie in future years.
