I began working at Smart Warehousing as an equipment operator. Mainly working with a walkie rider to fulfill orders. Hard work, strong work ethic and dedication to getting the job done right the first time allowed me to move into an Account Manager role. In this role I was able to learn and utilize many valuable skills; such as customer service, computer program operation like Microsoft word, Excel, and Outlook. I also have learned the value of time management and interpersonal communication. After several months of diligent work I achieved the Silver Pallet award numerous time. I transitioned from this role to working at Walgreens Boots Alliance. I started this job due to its flexible schedule, which I could utilize while going back to school to achieve an AAS. in IT. Eventually working my way up to a Shift Lead. While in my 3rd year working there I became aware of a job opening at an international biomedical company.This company was Ceva Biomune. This was where my first love resided, biotechnology. I worked in the incubation department while still pursuing my degree. Eventually the odd work hours, 3 am - 12 pm or later, took a toll on my mental health. That is when I found my way into an IT job at last!This is where I am now, The University of Kansas. I am a proud Jayhawk for life. RCJH!
