Aaron is the Executive Director/ Chief Executive Officer of Frenchman Bay Conservancy, a land trust in Hancock County Maine, with over 6,400 acres of land currently held in conservation through fee and easement. The organization builds lasting relationships and commitments that conserve the distinctive landscapes and natural resources of the Frenchman Bay and Union River watersheds. Frenchman Bay Conservancy is accredited through the Land Trust Accreditation Commission, a national mark of distinction in land conservation.

Aaron was the Federal Policy Director at Penobscot East Resource Center, a 501(C)(3) organization in Stonington, Maine with a mission to secure a sustainable future for fisheries and fishing communities in Eastern Maine and beyond. Aaron used policy, project management, education, and advocacy skills in the federal fisheries arena to secure marine conservation and affordable fisheries access for community scale fishermen in eastern Maine. As a senior program staff person, Aaron cultivated new and creative ideas through collaborative partnerships, working toward the development of an innovative ecosystem based fishery management pilot plan to govern the region's fishery resources. He managed a harvesting cooperative comprised of commercial fishermen members from Maine and Massachusetts, and he directed a hook-fishing collaborative research survey in partnership with the University of Maine and area fishermen. As part of a New England-wide initiative to preserve critical habitat, Aaron lead the advocacy for a bottom trawling closure in eastern Maine as a marine complement to the ongoing Penobscot River restoration. Together, these initiatives offered the opportunity to rebuild an interconnected ecosystem linked by alewife and other anadromous species.

Aaron chairs the relocation committee, in anticipation of a multi-million dollar green building, new construction initiative.

Aided in passage of 4th in the nation statewide ban on smoking in workplaces, including restaurants and bars.
