Production Engineering Group Lead
CurrentEnsure the safety of employees in cooperation with the Environment, Health, & Safety department.Secure the output of the factory.Assure that quality products are shipped to internal and external customers.Develop and executes cost reduction roadmaps for new and existing products.Foster a Lean Manufacturing culture.Manage the definition and creation of Manufacturing procedures, specifications, and sequences.Introduce new products into production in an existing “Concurrent Engineering” environment.Manage the creation and design of production tooling & qualification test equipment for new and existing products.Oversee the support of production issues with concise troubleshooting of Electro-Mechanical systems and sub systems.Review Failure Analysis Reports from suppliers and oversee the validation of the root-cause of the failure and oversee the implementation of structural solution.Interface with internal and external customers regarding the build and test of assemblies and final products.Create and manage improvement plans in support of product development roadmaps.Implement best practices in the areas of lean manufacturing, project management, and manufacturing technologies.Work with the other departments in operations to ensure we ship quality products on time and with excellent quality.Work in a corporative way with other sectors of the business (D&E, R&D, Customer service) to support the development of new products and to support the current installed base.Develop budgets for the operation of the department and capital improvement programs to further the companies goals and objectives.Develop continuing education programs and career development opportunities for employees.Create a positive working environment that is inclusive and diverse.
