Generate new business opportunities with existing and new customers by positioning a Belden industrial communication solution throughout multiple vertical markets across the greater northwest. Responsible for industrial networking sales revenue to include both Hirschmann and Garrettcom product brands. Provide technical sales and field application support to close new business opportunities.

Launch and manage Industrial Automation (IA) sales for the Western US (16 States). Formalize a message and selling strategy to differentiate and position the sales force for success. Interact with all levels of management to conduct planning and business reviews with respect to IA sales. Travel to each of Anixter's field sales offices to educate sales personnel on the industrial product portfolio. Call on new and existing accounts to identify new IA opportunities and expand relationships with existing customers.

The position demanded an extensive knowledge of integrating, marketing, and deploying wired/wireless Ethernet connectivity solutions. In addition, required constant involvement with OEM customers on both pre- and post-sales activities. Other responsibilities were to provide sales and technical training to distributor branch offices throughout the greater Northwest region. Work closely with product marketing and design engineers to ensure that field observations/market trends are acknowledged and addressed. Analyze competitor products and filter that information back into marketing and engineering. Participate in tradeshows by staffing booths and walking show floors to discover new opportunities. Manage both the rep and distributor network throughout territory, to ensure that Lantronix is receiving proper mindshare and customers receive the sales support they deserve. Travel was required for 60-70% of job responsibility.

Implemented a strong technical support department that offloaded technical support from research and development engineers. Job responsibilities were to provide frontline, intermediate, and escalated pre/post-sales support to inside sales, distributors, and customers around the world on four embedded software products. I worked very closely with teams of design engineers, acting as the communication filter between the engineering department and the salesperson or customer.
