I have an eclectic background professionally. I have been in retail, industrial supply sales, managed a trade business, higher education and now work in public health. All of these different areas give me a broad range of experience that is applicable to the business world, student development, professional development, and overall organizational dynamics. I also referee high school athletics which gives me a great opportunity to work in many different communities with student athletes, coaches, and administrators. Officiating is unique in that everyone, from the athletes, to the coaches, to the fans, have to work inside of the perimeters of the rule book. This can create tension at times, but it also teaches everyone that we can disagree on judgment and interpretation but at the end of the day be striving for a common goal. We're all working to be the best versions of ourselves.
