At RMIT I lecturer into the chemistry programs and I co-lead research groups and mentor students in the field of interfacial chemistry, biointerfaces, and antimicrobial. I am a highly enthusiastic and innovative scientist, with a rigorous experimental approach. Furthermore, I am a passionate, student focused mentor, who endeavors to educate emerging leaders in the field of surface science, biofilm control, antimicrobial nanotechnologies, and physical chemistry in general. My research is cross-disciplinary, combining surface and interface chemistry with innovative imaging and materials engineering approaches to solve relevant biomedical problems.I am highly collaborative and fosters an inclusive, highly-intellectual environment within my research group, and with my peers and colleagues. This has recently been recognised with the award the 2020 RMIT Award for Research Impact – ECR – Technology.
