Ecology and Data Science MSc graduate eager to apply my knowledge to monitor and help nature restoration. UCL’s first ever ambitious MSc combining these two important fields.During completing my Geography BSc I discovered that there was a lack of monitoring approaches for rewilding and restoration. This realisation led me towards wanting to work with quantitative methodologies to produce evidence for these restoration techniques. Studying with UCL’s Ecology and Data Science MSc was the perfect fit for me.This journey developed new skills of:- Strong knowledge of R language (statistics and remote sensing) and experience in Python programming.- Strong experience in ArcGIS Pro and QGIS.- Many years of using Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, Excel and Access.- Confident presenting skills with a focus on Science Communication to the public.This was all achieved in help of the relevant modules I took in my postgraduate and undergraduate degrees, selected by my passion for nature recovery, which includes: 'Computational Methods in Biodiversity Research', 'Nature Smart Challenge', 'Tech for Nature', 'Applied Environmental Management', 'Earth Observation from Satellites and Aircraft', 'Perspectives on the Sustainable Society'.
