Aaron leads a major global bank’s efforts in the Americas to support clients on ESG and sustainable finance. Aaron launched the Sustainable Finance & Advisory group in 2020 and has built a team of nine professionals across three offices. This team supports clients across North and South America with integrating sustainable finance features into their transactions, as well as advising on ESG strategy. In this role, Aaron has helped structure the sustainable finance feature of more than 100 transactions, including project financings, revolving credit facilities and securities offerings, among others. Aaron holds FINRA Series 24, 79 and 63 licenses.Prior to his current role role, Aaron was the Global Coordinator for Sustainable Capital Markets at one of the world’s top law firms where he launched the Sustainable Finance practice group while also advising clients on leveraged finance transactions in Europe and the United States. In this role, Aaron advised on numerous green bond and sustainability-linked loan transactions, as well as representing the underwriters on the first ever sustainability-linked bond transaction in 2019. He also served on the inaugural advisory council to the Green Bond Principles Executive Committee where he helped lead the process of revising guidelines for external reviewers in sustainable finance bond offerings.A member of the New York State bar for more than 12 years, Aaron is also experienced in international trade law and clerked for a US federal judge from 2010 to 2012. Aaron received his JD from Georgetown University Law Center, where he was in the top 1% of his class. Aaron also graduated magna cum laude from Cornell University with a degree focused on international development.
