Thirvent Asset Management

Thrivent Asset Management is a division of Thrivent Financial, a fortune 500 financial services organization with more than $85 billion in assets under management.•Collaborated in initial development of a Global Tactical Asset Allocation model defining the investment process framework for Thrivent’s $20 billion in asset allocation funds. Created a risk on/risk off factor model using macro indicators such as consumer confidence, credit market conditions, and volatility, utilizing Bloomberg and advanced Excel formulas. The risk/on risk off model was subsequently integrated into a larger Large-cap / Small-cap model and successfully presented to senior investment personnel including the head of equity, head of fixed income and CIO.•Analyzed historical and projected future demographics in the U.S. by examining age cohorts. Developed predictive equity market model through regression analysis by comparing forward equity market returns to past age cohort ratios used to predict future market returns from projected future demographics. Included further analysis and research on Japanese demographics related to the U.S., concluding that the U.S. is “not like Japan”. Successfully led presentation of analysis and conclusions to Chief Investment Officer.•Analyzed the impact of changes in Lipper mutual fund peer groups on Thrivent mutual funds’ relative performance.•Worked independently and also with Portfolio Managers and Analysts on a daily basis.
