I manage a network of approximately 3200 devices and a team of 3 people. I work closely with our Superintendent, Director of Education Services and our CFO to ensure that a budget of approximately $725,000, in which I manage, is maximized in the education process. I have been a part of multiple year USF E-Rate funded projects, which allowed for the upgrading of our internal network, including network switches, internal fiber, wireless infrastructure, firewall upgrades, and deploying an internet caching solution. UTEC In addition to these responsibilities I would occasionally be consulted as Tier 2 or 3 support for our other customers and internally. I have assisted our Tier 1 employees in the restoration of a failed Microsoft Exchange server, deployments of new firewalls, VPN configurations, deployment of a cloud based VOIP solution, and installation of a 165” video wall. I have also filled in for my boss as the Director of Technology for our department internally when needed.
