 Represented Imaging Services in the construction, equipment purchase, and opening of a state-of-the-art 158-bed acute care level IV trauma hospital. Created streamlined management practices, policies, and protocols for the operations and regulatory compliance of the Imaging Department with full-charge human resource responsibilities for a staff of 47 Managed and ensured compliance with budget for four departments generating $40M in annual gross revenues. Co-Chaired a committee that represented thirteen hospitals and developed a corporate Contrast Induced Nephropathy policy, protocol, and order-set. Intended to increase patient safety and gain early compliance for expected regulatory requirements. Volunteered to be one of two pilot hospitals for implantation purposes. Justified and purchased equipment and developed workflow, policy, and seed-handling protocol, in conjunction with a Mayo trained breast surgeon, for the only radioactive seed localization breast surgery program in the state of Colorado. Collected data and provided Imaging Services input to gain NQMBC Breast Center certification as a Breast Leadership Team member. Developed workflow, staffing, and scheduling practices to accommodate the implementation of a hospital joint venture with three cardiology practices. Initiated processes to improve employee and physician satisfaction resulting in a 98% score for the supervisor rating in 2008 and an overall associate satisfaction score of 8.6, on a 1-10 scale, in 2009. Physician satisfaction went from a 3.07 to a 3.69, on a 1-5 scale, from 2008 to 2009. No other surveys had been completed. Completely overhauled the failing imaging department at Penrose Community Hospital. This included regulatory compliance, protocol and policy revision, medication management practices, medicine reconciliation, expired supply disposal and monitoring, and associate competency assessments.

 Operations oversight of Radiology Nursing, CT, Nuclear Medicine, MRI, Interventional Radiology, and Ultrasound in a 130+ FTE department in a 477-bed acute care level II trauma hospital. Responsible for a budget that generated over $80M in gross revenue. Operated under budget by focusing on effective staff utilization and supply control. Represented Imaging Services in the building of a new 50-bed acute care community hospital. This included, but was not limited to, department design, construction, equipment selection and purchase. Acted as project manager for facilities and Biomed as well. Represented Imaging services in the build out and opening of a state-of-the-art 100,000+ visit per year Emergency Department. The Emergency Department was designed and built to house three digital X-Ray rooms and one CT scanner. Planned and justified the multi-million dollar capital requests needed to select design and construct the equipment placement of three Toshiba multi-slice scanners, two Siemens Avantos MRI scanners, two Interventional angiography suites, three digital diagnostic radiology rooms, one radiologic fluoroscopy room, located in three separate health system facilities. Experienced in the selection and implementation of two PACs systems, Siemens and Fuji. Initiated processes to improve employee satisfaction with a focus on fair, consistent, fact-based leadership. Processes included department preceptors, radiology unit practice council, and a radiology organizational re-structure to provide more employee support. Utilized behavioral-based interviewing practices to hire people with the appropriate attitude, aptitude and culture to fit the organization. Spear-headed a team comprised of radiology, cardiology, peripheral vascular, and IT with the responsibility of implementing a health system-wide solution to vascular monitoring, procedure QA, and inventory control, with improved patient outcomes and cost containment as primary goals.
