In 2005, I became adept at navigating and troubleshooting problems in Windows, but I lacked knowledge of the associated hardware. In 2007, I lost a great deal of important files two different times, so I paid a local "PC Guy" over $200 to try to fix the problem that was causing this to happen. Long story short, he couldn't.In 2009, I began volunteering for Free Geek, a non-profit in SE Portland. The goal was to get my own PC, learn how to build a nicer one for myself in the future, and to understand the inner workings of a PC to the extent that I would never again be at the whim of an expensive non-solution for a computer problem. At the end of the 24 hour volunteer program, I realized something: I enjoyed working on computer hardware a bit more than I did making music.I investigated job opportunities in PC hardware, but none of the companies in the area really vibed with my moral compass. I wanted to help people who were in my position, while actually fixing the problem and charging a fair price. I lacked the experience at the time to start my own business, so I focused on kitchen work for some time. During that time, I'd offer my services for free to friends and family, just to gain hands on experience with PC hardware. I learned a great deal, while making mistakes along the way, researching how to videos as needed, and dealing with a wide array of different computer problems.Fast forward to 2014, two of my housemates hired me build them multiple PCs for their businesses. They insisted on paying me, while encouraging me to market myself and value the quality of service I delivered. It was then that Dazzotek was truly born. In 2017, I became fully devoted to Dazzotek. By this time, I was able to do very high end PC builds ($3k and up) without hesitation. With my decade of experience, driven by a genuine love for computers, and a deeply rooted mission to help people for the best price imaginable, I encourage you to reach out to me, Aaron Randazzo, owner of Dazzotek. I have yet to encounter a computer problem I could not solve, so I am confident we can make your computer everything you need and want it to be.
