While working at plan-it I worked as part of a retail design team. Over the three years I was there I gained a great amount of experienced and a number of different skills. In this time I worked my way up to retail planning team leader and I was responsible for a number of people. My team’s job was to complete retail plans for all Tesco express stores in the south of England. This was a high presser position which demanded results within strict time lines. My role involved receiving and distributing all work that the team had to complete. I also completed the retail layouts for Tesco using the CAD program micro station. I would talk to a number of different architects and Tesco staff to over come any potential problems that a particular site may have. I also coordinated any additional projects that would be assigned to my team. Working with the surveying team on a number of challenging sites, I would visit site to complete different types of surveys including full measured internal surveys, topographical surveys to measured elevations.

Working in a small team responsible for all aspects of groundwork, including piled rafts, beams and underpinning. While I was at Cannon Piling I would on occasions help to set out the larger sites and would be put in charge of small teams to complete miscellaneous tasks. I would also make deliveries across Essex, London and the surrounding areas.
