In my nine years in cloud technology and software engineering, I've learned to expect the unexpected. Systems need to be robust, reliable, and performant but faults and bottlenecks are lurking at every layer of the stack. To fight back, networks need to be aggregated, data needs to be replicated, and servers need to be duplicated. Algorithms need to be optimized and parallelized, exceptions need to be handled, and still tasks need to be retried. Building reliable cloud applications is hard and that's why I like it. Throughout my career chasing 100% uptime, I've learned what It truly takes to execute on a vision. I've been called in the middle of the night because a data center is dark and I've debugged countless stack traces. What drives me is simple. I want to build new and exciting things and I want them to work well.Specifically some of my favorite languages and frameworks are Python/Flask, Node/React, and Go.
