Senior Onboard Services Manager P&O Ferries (March 1996 – March 2022)• As the most senior departmental manager, I was responsible for all aspects of managing and leading a large team, for delivering quality, service, sales and safety objectives in a busy multi-outlet fast paced environment with a diverse range of customers and challenges. My primary function onboard was to ensure the safe running of the vessel and in the event of an emergency, I was in control of passenger evacuation of up to 2000 passengers i am Accountable for the Leadership and motivation of a large team (approx. 120-150 staff) I managed every aspect of the running of the vessel including Health and Safety, Risk Assessment, continuous Inspections and Audits including Food Safety and procedural auditing as well as the Rostering, performance management and the first point of contact in all HR issues and training for my crew. P&L accountability (Approx. £25m Profit budget, £5m+ cost budget) including stock auditing and control of associated monies whilst delivering the highest level of Customer / Stakeholder experience this was managed by drawing metrics out of customer feedback and trend analysis.
