I was responsible detailing HVAC systems for commercial construction projects, Coordinating these systems with multiple trades to ensure the best design and working system possible. I was required to use AutoCAD, Fabrication CADmep, Navisworks, Bluebeam and Microsoft Office programs. Producing fabrication level drawings for the shop and the field installation. Using the Design Assist process I coordinated with the Engineers of record to design a system that met the needs of the owner. Using design tools such as Duct sizer and CAPs to ensure the system meets the required pressure drop, velocity and specifications for the project. Helped with Fan selection, VAV selection and Louver selection as required based on system needs.

While at this position I was designing, coordinating and detailing commercial HAVC systems. I have run coordination efforts on several projects. I have been lead sheet metal detailer on certain projects managing coordination efforts for multiple floors with multiple CAD operators. I have had to design HVAC systems when the engineers system will not work with coordination and building constraints. Producing fabrication level drawing for the shop and field installation. In addition to my detailing efforts I also acted as the Database Administrator. In this role I was required to ensure all computers had the proper updates installed, new software and helped troubleshoot both program and hardware issues. I also created, updated pressure classes, services and product libraries for details. I help with setup and training of the CAM program for the shop and worked to ensure detailing and fabrication efforts were aligned.

While working in this position I had to detail, design, coordinate commercial HVAC systems and produce fabrication and installation level drawings.

Greater Denver Area

While working in this position I was responsible for working on commercial projects performing a variety of tasks which included the following: Converting Engineered Design Documents, Coordinating with other mechanical, electrical, structural and architectural trades, Creating installation files and drawings. I assisted in setting up the automatic downloading process and maintaining the database. I also spent some time working in the shop fabricating duct work for several projects when called upon.
