Aaron L. Smith is currently the managing director of Pecora Capital LLC. The firm is a boutique alternative investment specialist. Pecora Capital is privately held and its trading strategies are not open to outside investors.

Smith was managing director at Superfund from March 2002 through November 2011. Smith was responsible for the development and sales of various alternative investment fund structures for a large book of institutional and private investors. In 2002, he helped pioneer one of the first publicly offered managed futures funds in the US, registered with the SEC. In addition to being the associated person in the US regulated Superfund entities, he served as responsible officer for Types 1 and 4 regulated activities under the Securities and Futures Ordinance for Superfund Financial (Hong Kong) Ltd. Mr. Smith also became of licensed financial adviser in Singapore in 2008 and ran the SE Asian business as CEO Superfund Financial (Singapore) Pte Ltd.Having spoken extensively in over 52 countries, Mr. Smith has a wealth of experience in chairing investor seminars, educational presentations, and third-party agreement negotiations. He is an expert in technical analysis, and appears regularly on financial news networks such as CNBC and Bloomberg to provide views on market trends. Mr. Smith was also a director of Superfund USA, Inc. and a registered broker dealer in New York with FINRA. He maintains the series 3, 7, 24, 33 & 66 licenses.

Smith began his career under James J. Minck at Morgan Stanley's Private Client Services Group located at 2 World Trade Center. Smith focused on sales of Morgan Stanley debt syndicate products to private and corporate investors. Smith played an instrumental role in relocating the firm's offices from the 73rd floor of 2 World Trade Center during the September 11 crisis.
