Aaron Lancaster primarily represents clients in state investigations and litigation in a wide variety of consumer protection matters, including investigations regarding financial and insurance service matters, debt collection and pharmaceutical pricing, as well as antitrust issues.He also counsels clients on building relationships with State Attorneys General to minimize their exposure to state-led lawsuits and negative publicity and advises them on dealing with data breaches and other privacy concerns.Mr. Lancaster works with clients to avoid becoming the target of AG-led investigations and to resolve issues before they escalate into litigation. He is also an experienced legal advocate, ready to represent companies when litigation becomes inevitable.Mr. Lancaster is also certified as an Information Privacy Professional (“CIPP/US”) by the International Association of Privacy Professionals, allowing him to assist clients in investigating and mitigating the damages associated with data losses, including advising them in notification issues following a data loss.Mr. Lancaster has extensive experience guiding corporations, most notably in the financial services industry, through state-level consumer protection investigations and litigation. He also represents clients in negotiation and litigation involving complex, multiparty disputes pertaining to insurance coverage for long-tail liability claims, including environmental pollution and polychlorinated biphenyls (“PCBs”).

Mr. Lancaster focused on the resolution of complex multiparty insurance disputes for environmental, asbestos, and other mass-tort claims, where he was responsible for the management of all facets of the company’s asbestos-related claims, including litigation management, resolution of insurance disputes, and lobbying the federal government regarding proposals for asbestos reform legislation.
