Working as senior private in a transport squadron

Worked as part of a larger team delivering supplies to forward deployed troops. Responsible for looking after my 15 ton Man truck. On occasions acting as top cover for the vehicle.

Responsible for ensuring the fleet of vehicles in my troop where serviced and repaired on time and the paperwork for each vehicle was upto date.Also forecasting future services and details of road movements.

Part of a troop of new and more experienced drivers responsible for maintaining and driving a variety of vehicles.Carrying out basic repairs and maintenance on all vehicles and furthing knowledge of how a MT section works.Conducting driving in the UK, Kenya and Canada.

Phase 1 basic soldiering training and Phase 2 trade training.Phase 1 consists of learn to be a basic soldier including how to follow orders, use weapon systems, drill, living in a field and team work.Phase 2 consist of learning to drive Cat B, C and C+E including Hazmat. Also basic servicing and vehicle maintenance across a large verity of different vehicle types. Learning to drive cross-country in all vehicles from Land Rover all the way to 15 tonne HGV.
