Aaron Leach is a member of the Executive Leadership Team and responsible for global supply chain management, as well as leadership of the Prepared Foods business unit.Aaron's oversight encompasses all aspects of the supply chain function for 23 fresh and further processing facilities, including procurement, supply & demand planning, inventory management, and warehousing and logistics. As General Manager of The Prepared Foods Business Unit, Aaron will oversee all aspects of sales and operations, be responsible for strategic and capital planning, and have full P&L accountability.

His oversight encompasses all aspects of the supply chain function for 23 fresh and further processing facilities, including procurement, supply & demand planning, inventory management and control, warehousing and inbound and outbound logistics. Aaron is also responsible for leadership and oversight of the Wayne-Sanderson Farms integration process.Joining Wayne Farms in 2005, Aaron has served in a variety of key roles within the company during several periods of significant company expansion and growth. Previous positions as Director of Financial Planning, Director of Strategic Planning/Fresh Operations, and Director, Supply Chain give him unique insights spanning all company operations. During his tenure Aaron has led supply chain, financial oversight and various operations improvement initiatives resulting in transformational impact across the business.

 Responsible for the oversite and direction of the Supply Chain department, consisting of Logistics, Warehousing, Inventory, Demand Planning, Supply Planning, and Production Planning. Manage all aspects of Customer Relationship with company’s largest customer, from volume and expansion commitments, pricing negotiations, quality and specification discussions, etc. Oversite and direction of inbound and outbound logistics, consisting of 35,000 customer deliveries per year with freight spend in excess of $60 mm. Responsible for management, selection and reconciliation at all company owned and 3rd party Cold Storage locations. Lead company S&OP Process as well and ongoing Supply/Demand Consensus Process.

 Responsible for operational analysis of each production facility with a focus on process and business improvement. Led Agristats education process and reviews across all locations, with a focus on Live and Plant Processing metrics and opportunities.  Analyzed segment and competitive profitability to assist with long term strategic planning. Responsible for the oversight and direction of the Cost Accounting, Financial Analysis, and Pricing departments. Lead all valuation and due diligence activities on potential acquisitions and present to executive team. Analyze and review all Plant expansion and major capital expenditures.

 Designed and implemented detailed cost system, with robust variance reporting by SKU.  Responsible for the coordination and direction of the Annual Operating Plan, monthly profit forecasts, and long term strategic planning. Responsible for cash flow forecasting ensuring debt covenants are reviewed. Responsible for the oversight and direction of the Cost Accounting, Financial Analysis, and Pricing departments. Responsible for the oversight and direction of the accounting and finance departments at thirteen processing facilities, along with the completion of the monthly plant and business unit accounting close. Prepare and present the monthly financial review to the executive team and Quarterly review with Board of directors. Responsible for the development and coordinate all company Dashboards, Scorecards, and KPI reporting. Review, and report on, product and customer profitability to manage SKU rationalization and possible pricing action. Review all Capital Authorization Requests (CAR’s) for appropriate ROI, RONA, NPV, IRR, Payback, and business prioritization. Lead all valuation and due diligence activities on potential acquisitions and present to executive team.

 Responsible for financial tracking and analysis of Rich’s Bakery Business Unit. Prepared and analyzed currency exchange impacts and hedging models. Supported Sales and marketing on product development, profitability management, pricing, placement, and prioritization. Assisted with customer and vendor negotiations relevant to costing, pricing, distribution, etc. Responsible for financial analysis of our Bakery Business Unit including long term strategic planning, RONA analysis, product profitability/rationalization, Joint Ventures, etc.
