    I had a diverse set of responsibilities at DRW. My first project was to facilitate integration of a recent acquisition that brought the company substantial unique technology assets. As part of that integration, I built a new algorithmic trading desk focused on global liquid futures and US listed ETFs. We deployed several machine learning models that were optimized for computational flexibility, low latency response, and rapid iterations of model development and refinement. The team was a fully integrated, cross-functional team of software engineers, researchers and market specialist. We grew to ten people and were profitable in under a year.In parallel, I sponsored the development of a modular, flexible, low latency trading platform with C++ core engine components and python scripting for more complex trading models and decision logic. We took lessons from decades of shared experience in algorithmic trading to build the platform, with the goal of making it available to the entire firm for rapid development and deployment of new trading ideas.
