Being the general manager of an elite health club forces one to take on many different roles. While ultimately having the clients results and goals at the forefront of every action we took, training an elite sales team of Fitness Consultants and hiring/recruiting only the most premier trainers was a necessity to creating our clients results and also maximum profit. The general manager also has many other task:•Managing Payroll•receptionist and babysitters •facility and equipment maintenance •club profit •membership sales•member satisfaction•training staff•supplement salesI started here as a fitness consultant and after my first month I had created a personal sales script and goal setting process that not only allowed me to overcome every objection on tour and ultimately close each tour without any objections at point of sale, but would also motivate each member to finally reach their fitness goal. Through that process and making sure that there wasn’t anyone out of the other 30+ consultants at ECA outworking me allowed me, in my first month, to become the #1 salesman in the company. By my second month I had truly started to perfect the craft selling over 130 memberships and breaking the company record in overall success points for one month in its 10 years of being open. Shortly after the manager was fired for misconduct and my opportunity to run the club and train an elite team came about. Still very new to the fitness industry I continued to work up to 15 hours a day 7 days a week until mastering all aspects of sales and management. The opportunity to be personally trained by the owner of our company Neil Schober, a man who is known for revolutionizing the fitness industry with over 40 years experience and owning 160+ clubs across America was a spectacular one. Within the rest of the time I was with the company I continued to break personal and ECA records managing to run a club that didn’t miss quota once under my management.
