I am the CEO at Hero Arts, a top brand in crafting for almost 50 years, and a leader in sustainable business practices, coalition building, and community-first leadership. I have over 20 years of experience in achieving business and strategic goals, navigating a changing business landscape, forging supply chains with shared business and sustainability approaches, and building success in a creative and innovation-first business landscape.In my role, I have hired and trained loyal, talented, and high-functioning teams, transitioned from wholesale to an e-commerce business model, built an industry trade group that promotes collaboration and growth, and worked with businesses, organizations and policy actors to build meaningful and lasting success at the community, regional, state and national level. One example is implementing a Green Business Pledge with a diverse network of 80 suppliers, which brought change at the business level and was also coupled with advocating for policies that supports a sustainable economy in the communities the suppliers operated. I am the proud recipient of numerous leadership and green business awards, including Jerry Brown’s Governor's Environmental and Economic Leadership Award (GEELA), California's highest environmental honor.I am also an author, a father, and a lifelong learner.
