Elected sole Student Representative to the Newport News School Board from 6 candiates, with 42% of the overall votes. Representing 26,500 students on the school board from 41 different schools of Newport News Public Schools (NNPS). Term 2023 - 2024 school year. Sit and attend school board meetings. Link to NNPS School Board: https://sbo.nn.k12.va.us/board/Co-head of the NNPS Superintendent's Student Advisory on Education (SAGE): - A council made up of 27 students from the 6 different NNPS high schools. Monthly meetings led by the NNPS Superintendent and Student Representative on ways to improve NNPS schools and listen to student input. Member of the NNPS Rights and Responsibility Committee:- A committee that meets monthly to revise the NNPS Rights and Responsibility Handbook, while addressing issues of student behavior in school. Currently working on cell phone policy, dress code, and in school suspension.

Intern with Delegate Shelly Simonds of the 70th District of Virginia, and assist her with community engagement, collecting community needs/viewpoints, and canvassing.
