I helped Julian Charter School provide elementary and secondary educational services by transforming its educational administration functions.PROMOTED FROM: Information Technology Manager (01/2004 – 08/2013)I advanced multiple initiatives to resolve operational issues, introduce new technologies, and improve training programs of 6 different schools in collaboration with a 10-member technology and training development team. Some of these projects are listed below:SCHOOL WEBSITE DEVELOPMENT: Following the division of school branches into different organizations, I was tasked with developing websites for each school while portraying a uniform institute brand. To maintain brand uniformity, I created a primary website that redirected users to secondary school websites. ACCOUNTS PAYABLE AUTOMATION: The manual processing of A/P invoices at Julian Charter was too tedious and intricate. By separating and automating each school’s accounts payable processes, I instituted workforce optimization and escalated the processing of 800+ invoices per month. THIRD-PARTY API INTEGRATIONS: I introduced several new technologies to standardize processes such as the student information, payroll, and HR programs. To do so, I collaborated with third-party vendors to implement API integrations with the schools’ systems. KEY ACCOMPLISHMENTS:- Resolved issues for 150 teachers by instituting VPNs with MS Active Directory to connect them with network resources.- Enhanced student engagement by prompting the installation of interactive short-throw projectors in classrooms.- Introduced and taught several technology courses after analyzing shifting IT industry trends and school environments.Key

I assisted California College with its transition to Canvas LMS in order to improve its educational programs that include business, graphic arts, healthcare, and information technology.PREVIOUSLY: Technology Instructor (02/2012 – 02/2013)After transitioning its learning management system to Canvas, California College’s online course modules were in a state of disarray. I improved the user-friendliness and legibility of these templates by entirely redesigning the frontend using HTML and CSS. I gave a uniform structure to the disorganized modules and modernized the outdated course content. Before this initiative, the teachers at California College had to manually recreate the course templates each semester. I reduced their workload and the need to hire teaching staff by creating an easy-to-use module design. I convinced the teachers to undergo the change, presented website wireframes to administrators, and modified the templates based on their feedback to align the web design with the school’s needs.Additionally, I initiated hands-on training with network, workstation, and server management courses by allowing the students to practically set up technical equipment.Key

I instituted several internal technological improvements while helping clients enhance individual, organizational, and societal performance in their workplaces. PROMOTED FROM: Vice President of Technology (02/2013 – 12/2013)After being requested to take on the positions of VP of Technology and President, I revamped the way the organization conducted performance improvement seminars and monthly board meetings. I implemented a system to record and broadcast meetings online, and improved website navigation and usability for end users by shifting to a user-friendly hosting platform. As a result, we saw an increase in seminar attendance.Before I joined ISPI, the organization used a free conference call software with significant reception issues. I increased the quality and interaction of the meetings by establishing the use of Google for Nonprofits and Google Hangouts. I also replaced strenuous manual documentation with Google Drive and Google Docs.Key

My prowess in providing exceptional customer service has allowed me to retain clients for more than 15 years. Below are some initiatives that I led at this company:ISSUE IDENTIFICATION & TROUBLESHOOTING: I offered extensive IT consulting services by resolving technical problems associated with server management, ad hoc applications, system integrations, and networking. SOFTWARE IMPLEMENTATIONS: I handled all technical requirements and built quotes for vendors while managing new technology acquisitions for customers, which included MS Active Directory, Exchange Servers, and network-attached storage devices.TIME TRACKING APPLICATION: One of my clients had no method of tracking employee work hours and optimizing its payroll program. I developed a web application that used geolocation to track the arrival and departure times of the clients’ workforce, and integrated it with the company’s internal payroll software. As a result, the customer was able to reduce their payroll costs. FILE ACCESS APPLICATION: A construction company didn’t have a method to share blueprints between its vendors and subcontractors. I launched this company to deliver high-quality IT solutions to customers. By doing so, I grew my client base from 0 to 1,700 customers. I fostered a level of trust among a portion of my customers that allowed me to come in to their business and resolve issues independently without notice.I recruited, trained, and oversaw 8 personnel while managing all front- and back-end operations that included sales, customer service, and licensing. The following are some solutions that I developed here: QUICKBOOKS ACCESS: The accounting, warehousing, and sales departments of a company were discrete and needed to share QuickBooks data among one another. To resolve this issue, I instituted remote desktop services (RDS).AUTOMATIC TICKET RETRIEVAL: A manufacturing organization had to send personnel over to a distant manufacturing plant to retrieve invoicing tickets. I set up a VPN between the plant and the company’s main office to help them retrieve invoicing tickets instantly.VENDOR ADDRESS BOOK APPLICATION: One of my customers used an inefficient program that didn’t provide vendor book access to the client’s technicians. I enabled information access for technicians by creating a shared database using MS Access.Key
